The lot features a circa 1890-1900's Apache high-top "Cactus Kicker" men's moccasins, crafted from Mountain Lion Indian tanned hide. The moccasins show a thick parfleche rawhide sole with thick Indian tanned hide high leg wrappings / leggings which are from a Mountain Lion / Cougar having two silver 1907-1911 silver U.S. Barber dimes. The base of the moccasins show a curled border and front of the foot in classic Apache "Cactus Kicker" pattern. The tops of the moccasins have a light brown coloring, tanned from Rocky Mountain Elk hide and the set is well kept with nice supple, soft hides that display well. There are mannequin legs inside the moccasins for structure and display. There is an old auction tag still attached. Overall the set measures 24-inches high with the soles being 10.5-inches long.
