The lot features a circa 1894-1925 collection of Butte, Montana original advertisements including a Butte Fly Fishing sleeve, Butte Newbro Drug bottle, and Butte Steetcar / Trolley Hoenck Furs advertisement.

The collection includes:
First is an original circa 1900-1910’s Butte, Montana Fly Fishing piece which is marked  “Fishing Tackle From – The Sporting Goods Store Carl Engel, Prop. 11 and 13 West Park St., Butte, Montana / Hint to Fisherman: Moisten Your Leaders and Flies Thoroughly Before Using to Keep Them From Breaking.” The store was located on the ground floor of the historic Lizzie Block building (on West Galena Street). Carl Engel (1871–1956) ran the storefront during Butte’s peak mining boom years until transitioning into a role as a deputy sheriff during the Prohibition era. The fly fishing advertising pouch measures 7 7/8-inch by 3 7/8-inch.
Next is a NewBro Drug Company Butte, Montana original Spirit of Camphor blown glass medicine bottle with original paper label from circa 1890-1900’s. The bottle is blown glass and the paper label reads, “Spirit of Camphor Alcohol 80 to 84% Dose – From 5 drops to ¼ teaspoonful, first added to sugar, and then mixed with water. / Newbro Drug Company Wholesalers Cor. Iron & Arizona Sts. Butte, Mont.” The Newbro Drug Company in Butte, Montana opened in 1891 when founder Dupont M. Newbro started his initial retail drug store in the city before expanding into a major wholesale operation, which first began in 1893 / 1894. Later Newbro sold the Montana drug business to focus entirely on the Herpicide Company in 1902. The bottle has an ever so slight purple and measures 5.5-inch by 2 5/8-inch.
Next is a circa 1925 Butte, Montana Streetcar Trolley advertisement for Hoenck Furs. The sign reads, "Repairs Relining Hoenck Furs Storage at a 10% Discount during July And August at Richard P. Hoenck Phone 803 206 N. Main ST. Just Above Granite", early photographs of two women wearing furs are at opposite ends of the sign from left to right. Hoenck was the pioneer furrier during Butte's heyday as the "Richest Hill on Earth". The sign was part of an extensive advertising business known as Street Railways Advertising Co., an affiliate of Consolidated Street Railway Advertising Company. The company was founded by Barron G. Collier, the "father of streetcar advertising", and by 1925 became the largest advertising company in the world. Collier's type of advertising cards are still found on public transportation today! This streetcar sign is in overall fair to good condition, the top right corner above "Storage" is missing, tears have previously been repaired with scotch tape at the top right corner and middle bottom border. Black ink type over a yellow background, "Barron G. Collier Inc." copyright mark at bottom right corner. Measures 10.5"W x 21"L.
