This is an original circa early 1900’s Cortébert / Cortebert 14K Solid Yellow Gold Hunter Pocket Watch, ca. 1900 to 1940’s. The watch features a wonderfully and professionally crafted hunting configuration and nickel finish on the movement. The case is stamped14K / 0.585 below a crown inside of a circle hallmark, shown on both cases and a case number 1500812, the case is crafted from solid 14 karat yellow gold. The gold ridged face shows gold indices and gold numerals with Blued Steel Finish hands. This highly regarded Swiss timepiece is known for its historical precision, robust movements, and significant partnerships with brands like Rolex and Panerai. Cortebert was a leading supplier for European railroad systems, including the Turkish and Italian railways. In Italy, due to nationalist laws, these were often rebranded as Perseo. The condition of this Waltham pocket watch is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage and shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of this watch are 1.875"W x 2.25"L, collective weight is 62.6 grams.
