Featured in this lot is a circa 1900-1920’s Navajo Klagetoh Valero Star rug in fine condition. The rug exhibits all natural fine hand-spun wool with a double border in brown and red with a field in grey having correct variation in the coloring. Some consider the Klagetoh to be a sub-pattern of the Ganado Trading Post. The field shows four Valero Star symbols, large in size showing eight-point stars in natural white and brown with a brown and red diamond at the center of each. Down the center is a large medallion with hooked adornments pointed towards the center of the rug. There are also two large hour glass shapes with banded line design having stepped edge in brown red and white. This rug has been professionally cleaned, preserved and restored and is in near excellent condition. The rug has a nice tight weave for its early age with visible lazy lines and is in very good condition. Measures overall 78 inches long by 45 inches wide.
