The lot features a circa 1900-1920 Indian hide beaded flat bag from the Northern Cheyenne of Lame Deer, Montana collected directly from The Museum of the Fur Trade in Chadron, Nebraska. The piece was collected directly from The Museum of the Furt Trade and comes with a vintage pamphlet which is written on the top, "Northern Cheyenne from Lame Deer, Montana" written on top (this was found inside the bag). The bag shows an Indian tanned hide construction with old floral calico inside lining. The bag shows sinew sewn old pictorial beadwork done in old glass trade seed beads covering the front and the top strap. The beads show colors of greasy white heart light blue, red white heart, greasy yellow, amber, medium blue, semi-transparent red, pea green, semi-transparent dark green, Cheyenne pink. The bag shows two U.S. patriotic flags with a floral central pattern and geometric border with a unique tab beaded on the front. The bag shows old muslin canvas trade clothe as well. Measures overall 10-inches by 5-inches.
