This is an outstanding, scarce circa 1900 San Ildefonso polychrome painted pottery vase. The piece exhibits a classic late 19th Century to early 20th Century San Ildefonso design and geometric polychrome painted pattern showing a white / cream base with shape in black and additional color in red with a tan bottom. The bottom is marked with tape "Dated 1900 San ildefonso". The piece is well kept with crisp paint and no major breaks, the paint has a slight crazed or crackled finish, seen on authentic antique examples such as this.
