Featured in this lot are seventeen Plains, Northern Plains, Southern Plains and other Native American real photo postcards from various photographers circa 1909-1946. Some of the photographers included in this lot are R.J. Kingsbury, C.R. Childs, Ralph R. Doubleday, Kodak Mexicana, L.L. Cook Company, Frasher's Incorporated, Byerly, Glacier Studio and Martin Post Card Company. The photo postcards show various scenes such as a Navajo family in Monument Valley sitting in front of their home, Crazy Snake ready for charge on Oklahoma Settlers, a game being played by Sioux members, Chiefs of the Blackfeet standing together in Glacier Park, a Navajo family working in front of their home, Apache members sitting outside of their home on HY-90, Chestnut Billy's Indian Camp on Tamiami Trail, a view of Rock River and Black Hawk Statue in Oregon, Illinois, a Taos Pueblo bead worker at the Parson's Indian Pageant, baby twins strapped into papooses, and Native Americans camped at a fair. Some of the photo postcards have been written on and used, while others remain untouched. The photo postcards show good condition overall with wear present throughout but no signs of major damage is noted. They have been placed in plastic sleeves to preserve their condition. They measure 3 5/16" L x 5 7/16" W and have a collective weight of 12 ounces.
