This is a circa 1910-1920's Crow beaded hide wrapped metal spoon. The piece shows a metal spoon at the center which has been wrapped in Indian tanned buckskin with thread sewing and is covered in thread sewn glass trade beads in a "crazy crow" or "crazy" pattern of random colors. The top shows Indian buckskin hide fringes with a red ocher coloring and two rolled tin jingle dangle metal cones with red plume feathers. The beads are all early example with colors of greasy yellow, greasy green, semi-transparent red, chalk white, medium green, greasy blue. The piece shows little to no bead loss and is well kept. Measures overall 7.25-inches long with an additional 2-inches of fringe by about 1 3/8-inches at its widest.
