For your consideration is this rare and vintage Mission Orange pink glass soda syrup dispenser from the 1920-30s. Initially, California Crushed Fruit in Los Angeles produced the first soft drinks. Their Mission Orange soft drink was so successful that in 1933 they formed The Mission Dry Corporation and started bottling Mission Orange soda in a unique black bottle. By the 1950's they had become Mission of California, Inc. The dispenser features a heavy porcelain base embossed with "Mission Orange" on both sides of the base. The base did have two stickers on either side but they have since been taken off. The glass jar is light pink depressing glass with embossed textures and "Mission" on either side. The jar comes with the original spigot in working condition, but is missing the original lid. The pink jar sits permanently on a black glass base. Overall the jar is in good condition with no signs of obvious craks, chips or damage. The whole dispenser stands at 13 3/4" tall and 6 /8" wide at the widest part of the base. The opening on top measures 3 7/16" from outside edge. The jar is just under 8" tall and about 5 1/2" wide at the belly.
