Featured in this lot is this rare original Assayer's scale from the early 1900's. The piece has a good condition wood and early glass case made by E.H. Sargent & Co. Chicago and Seederer & Co. Mew Rochelle, NY brass balance scale. The gold sclae has front and back removable glass wood framed panels with counter weights and a single drawer on the front. This has leveling brass feet and works great. Believed to be complete. No weights included. The condition of this jewelry scale shows some of the trim missing or detached with the finish showing wear consistent with age. The measurements of this jewelry scale is 16 1/2" x 10 5/8" x 18". The collective weight of this scale is 14lb.
