Another truly fine, and highly worked parade saddle, dating to circa 1930-1940’s covered with sterling silver concho adornments and sterling silver panels all hand engraved attributed to Edward H. Bohlin (1895-1980). The saddle shows hundreds of solid sterling silver conchos with raised dome, scallped edge completely covered in hand engravings, in nearly identical form of other Bohlin examples. The sterling silver was previously tested. The conchos extended across multiple rows of the skirt, along the seat, framing the fenders, along the front of the tree as well as sterling silver on the horn and along straps that run down the outside of the tree. This saddle was also identified as being a high end example attributed to Edward H. Bohlin with nearly identical examples such as the Bohlin 1936 Silver Mounted example sold by California Auctioneers in May 2023. The saddle features a wonderfully and professionally crafted heavy brown leather construction that shows magnificent silver rosette placements along the skirt and fenders with tooled silver adornments to the swells and the horn of the saddle. With beautiful tooling and carving. From a large collection of early cowboy gear including Keyston, Visalia, Ted Flowers and was identified as being a sterling silver attributed to Bohlin example by a saddle expert previously. The condition of this saddle is well preserved with some slight wear to the heavy leather adorning the saddle and the monel stirrups show wear due to use but otherwise shows a well preserved overall condition. The overall measurements of this saddle is 38" x 18" x 26" and the seat measures 13". The collective weight of this saddle is 35.8lbs. The saddle mark is not found, but attribtued, sterling is tested.
