Included in this lot is a Sarouk Persian hand knotted wool runner rug, originating from the 1930's. The rug features geometric floral patterns, bright colors, and a tight weave. The Sarouk rug is a style of Persian rug made in the village of Sarouk, located 25 miles north of Arak. The Sarouk rugs are known for their floral patterns and tight weave. The rug displays geometric medallion patterns with a multi-layered border. The piece shows the colors of red, blue, green, pink, brown, and teal. The piece shows a wonderful tight weave and fringe at one end. The rug is in good condition, with little wear and use. The piece measures 39" wide by 107" long.
