The lot features a set of oversized trade sign advertising spurs, handmade circa 1940-1950’s with a case colored blue finish from a Spur and Saddlery Mercantile shop. These would have been placed in the window or at the store to signify that they sell horse tack. The spurs feature a wonderfully and professionally crafted steel and leather construction. The spurs show a very large size with shop made design with rowels and tailor made leather spur straps with large buckles made custom for these spurs. The condition of this pair of mercantile display spurs is good with some paint damage to the spur straps but otherwise shows a good overall condition. The measurements of each of the spurs is 7 1/4" x 9 1/4" x 18 1/2". The collective weight of this pair of mercantile spurs is 6lb 2oz.
