Featured in this lot is this pair of copper kindling or coal bins or basins circa late 19th century to early 20th century. There are two basins in the collection. The first is a more horizontally supportive copper kindling basin with a rolled lip and a polished dovetail joint connecting the bottom and the rest of this basin with one copper ring hand on the side of the basin. The secone is more upright with a similar rolled lip design and two mounted copper side handles and an intricate pattern of petite dove tail joint seam shown on the bottom groove of the base. The condition of this pair of kindling basins is well preserved with some patina adorning the copper construction consistent with age but otherwise shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of each basin is 5 1/2" x 15 5/8" x 15 5/8" and 8 1/2" x 15 3/4" x 10 1/2". The collective weight of these two copper basins is 9lb 6oz.
