Featured in this lot is this American Folk Art carved rocking horse circa 19th century. The rocking horse features a wonderfully and professionally intricately carved American Folk Art rocking horse with lifelike features carved and painted to resemble a carousel horse on a wooden shield with spoke wheels and shows holes for mounting to a rocker with turned frame. The horses tail is constructed from authentic horse hair and the rocking horse features two small handles for the rider to be mounted. The condition of this American Folk art horse is well preserved with some natural cracks to the exterior paint and shows wear to the frame of the wooden rocking aspect of this toy but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of this rocking horse is 32 1/2" x 47 1/2" x 14 3/4". The collective weight of this rocking horse is approximately 20lbs.
