Featured in this lot is this barley twist Victorian shaving mirror circa 19th century. The shaving mirror features a wonderfully and professionally crafted construction that shows a similar pattern trim to the carved barley twist pylons that attach to the arch mirror that shows a footed stand that would stand on a cabinet with a rotating mirror. The condition of this this shaving mirror is well preserved with a small piece of the mirrors trim showing some warping and the mirror shows tarnish to its reflective nature due to age but otherwise shows a well preserved condition. The measurements of this mirror is 31 1/2" x 29" x 10 3/4". The collective weight of this shaving mirror is 21lb 6oz.
Provenance: From a prominent ex-Bozeman private collection who purchased the majority of his collection from Cowan's, Skinner, Bonhams, Morphy's, Sotheby's, March in Montana, North American Auction and other well revered auction houses.
