Featured in this lot is this iconic five spring streamline carriage circa 19th century with restoration. The carriage is wonderfully and professionally crafted wooden and iron construction that shows black lacquer finish and preserve layer to the wrought iron implements. This is a four wheel horse drawn streamline carriage made for speedy assembly and used for speedy transportation. The five spring design is iconic for being much smoother than carriages with less springs due to the condition of roads and made them much more desirable for transportation of goods and personnel. This carriage comes complete with the original yoke shown present with complete restoration consistent with the carriage itself, although the D-Clip shown is modern, the rest of the construction and implements would have been originally constructed in the 19th century when the carriage was made. The seat on top shows an upholstered and removable cushion with a seat back and some slight storage in the back for amenities or luggage. The carriage features step down sides with wrought iron framing parts possibly custom forge made due to the lack of a makers mark. The condition of this of this carriage is well preserved with some weathering wear consistent with age and use with the yoke showing similar condition but otherwise shows minimal oxidation to the springs or other implements of the carriage and shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of this carriage is 67" H x 172" L x 71 1/2 W. The collective weight of this carriage is
