This is an excellent, handwoven flat weave rug by master weaver, Alicia Gutierrez. The rug was made using 100% soft, fine, handspun wool yarns in a beautiful Cardenas Sunburst pattern. The rug was handwoven with a tight weave, using 100% handspun wool yarns that offer natural variegation and durability with color fast aniline dyes. The tight, handwoven weave, displayed with natural fleece tones, is in the fine Cadenas Sunburst pattern of the time-honored Zapotec, multi-generational craft by a master weaver, Alicia Gutierrez. This rug shows iconic Zapotec design with thick, symmetrical banded design set to a speckled light grey field; the inside of the bands shows a sunburst fire decoration and diamond decoration with a slight knob eye dazzler style decoration inside the bands. The piece is brand new, in pristine condition, with a fine, tight weave. The rug measures 2’ by 3’ (2 foot by 3 foot). This is a brand new rug.
