Featured in this lot is this Casas Grande Ramos polychrome pottery olla circa 1940's. The pottery olla features a wonderfully and professionally crafted ceramic construction that shows polychrome decoration that shows geometric patterns with black and red coloration on a off white field. The olla has four total holes drilled into the side walling. The Casa Grande is considered Pre-Columbian from Northern Mexico, the Chihuahua region with the Ramos polychrome circa 1200 to 1450 CE. The condition of this San Ildefonso Pueblo pottery olla is preserved with some chips to the rim and some fading to the polychrome paint with some wear to the side walling but otherwise is preserved. The measurements of this pottery olla is 5" x 5" x 5". The collective weight of this pottery vessel is 1lb 2oz.
