For your consideration is this Castilian horse sculpture with copper adornments, circa 1900's. This is a wonderfully decorated piece; the saddle and other accoutrements are constructed from copper and tin, the ears are pinned back, and the eyes are constructed from colored glass. The soft wood, from which it is constructed, is lacquered and painted. The condition of this wooden horse is good and shows wear consistent with age, such as two defects, a missing horn, and a crack where the tail attaches to the body. The measurements of this horse are 15 1/2" x 15" x 3 3/4".
