Featured in this lot are CE Corey Forest pattern Handpainted China, Portugal. A high-fired, handmade porcelain collection features a forest scene of a proud buck standing tall amidst pinecones in tones of green and will bring to life any table setting. CE Corey was started by Cynthia Corey in the basement of her grandparents’ home in Old Westbury, Long Island. Always an artist with an interest in design, Cynthia Corey decided to develop a line of dinnerware sets depicting Polo players from her grandfather’s photo albums. The U.S. Open Polo Tournament was being held on Long Island, making it the perfect time and place to introduce the dinnerware line. From there, the growth began. Other equestrian and lodge-look lines were introduced, but they all possess the look that has defined CE Corey. The passion to create timeless pieces by blending old-world style with a contemporary twist gives CE Corey’s lines an aesthetic filled with elegance and style. Lot includes (8) 10.5" dinner plates, (8) 6" coupe cereal bowls, (8) 9" large rim soup bowls, (9) 4" mugs, (1) 3.75" creamer, (1) 4" sugar bowl & lid, (2) 10.25" square large serving platters. This set is in amazingly fine condition, handpainted images appear intact throughout and without fading. Combined weight is 37lb, 14oz.
