Featured in this lot is this Chandler silver and brass ladies leg spur pair. The pair shows a mixture of metals decorating the spur, with spur strap lugs and heel strap lugs present on both sides of the heel band. There is an inscription on the inside of the heel band that reads, "CHANDLER." A Gal Leg Spur refers to the Gal, slang for Lady or Woman, and her legs being part of the spurs. The legs are in the position of the neck or shank and have the rowel fastened to their feet end. Gal Leg spurs were made by lots of different spur makers over the years. The condition of these spurs is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this set of spurs are 6" x 4 1/2" x 2 1/2".
