Featured in this lot is this Charelston, Arizona Territory found bottles and ephemera circa 1880's and were housed in the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum; Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona. This collection of bottles and ephemera includes two bottles and six pieces of ephemera. The first bottle is a brown Crown Distillery Company bottle and shows an original museum tag that reads as follows: Whiskey Bottle Found in Charelston. The second bottle is a stonware bottle for ginger beer and comes complete with an original museum tag that reads as follows: ginger Beer Bottle found at the sight of the Last Chance Saloon which was located just outside Tombstone - where freighters, outlaws and others stopped for a last drink before heading on to Charleston. The first piece of ephemera is an official receipt for dues from FF Wolf in Charleston July 24, 1884. The second is also an official receipt for dues out of Charleston Lodge No. 6 May 4, 1882 for James Wolf. (both those receipts are for the Knights of Pythias) The next piece of ephemera is an invitation to the Grand Ball at Charleston in 1881. The next piece of ephemera is two museum cutouts for General Merchandise and Dexter Stables out of Charelston, Arizona. The next is a General Merchandise receipt out of Charelston, Arizona Territory Nov. 9, 1881 from F. Herrera & Co. The last is a General Merchandise full size receipt for F. Herrera & Co. out of Charelston, Arizona Mar. 9th 1881. The condition of this collection of Charelston, Arizona bottles and ephemera is preserved with a break in the neck of the stoneware bottle and the ephemera shows browning to the paperwork consistent with age but otherwise shows a preserved condition. The measurements of this collection ranges from 1 3/4" x 4 1/4" to 11 1/2" x 2 7/8". The collective weight of this collection is 2lb 14oz.
