Offered in this lot we have a framed Charles M. Russell print titled "Toll Collectors". Charles Marion Russell, born March 19th, 1864 in St. Louis Missouri and died on October 24, 1926 in Great Falls Montana. Russell is known for his paintings of cowboys, Indians, and western landscapes, as well as crafting bronze sculptures. This print shows a cowboy and Indian greeting each other in front of a herd of cattle. The figures are shown on a lightly sloped incline with rolling hills and mountains in the background. The print is signed in the bottom left hand corner reading "C.M. Russell" and marked "Historical Society of Montana all rights reserved - Made in U.S.A.". The print is set into a simple wood frame with a white border around the art. The piece shows good condition overall with some light wear across the frame. The frame measures 21" wide by 17" tall with the art measuring 14 1/4" wide by 10 3/4" tall.
