Featured in this lot is this Cherokee Indian Charlette Bigmeat doll circa 1920 to 1930's. The doll features a wonderfully and professionally crafted trade cloth and stuffed fabric construction that shows a Native Cherokee woman dressed in trade cloth wearing the a papoose on her back with a child in it. The doll comes complete with a had written note explaining the story behind the doll whose named Charlette Bigmeat who lives way back in the hills and has 18 children and is very proud of them, and also makes pottery. The condition of this Cherokee doll is good with no obvious signs of damage and shows good overall condition. The measurements of this doll is 12 1/8" x 5 1/4" x 2 1/4". The collective weight of this doll is 4oz.
