Offered in this lot for your consideration is an original acrylic painting by Cheyenne Native American artist, Lyn Ross Bixby, dated 1990. Lyn Ross Bixby was born of Northern Cheyenne heritage in the Crow Agency, Montana in 1955. This is a wonderful painting of the spirit rising up from a buffalo skull lying on the prairie. The spirit rises into a starry twilight above a purple sunset. The spirit shows a brave on horseback hunting a buffalo. This piece has wonderful color and emotion. The painting is set in a silver metal frame and measures 18 1/4" x 14 1/4". This painting is in good condition, with no signs of damage.
