The lot features a fine set of Cheyenne Native American Indian moccasins with beautiful beadwork on hide dating to circa early 1900's. The set shows an Indian tanned hide with geometric beaded pattern in all period glass trade seed beads in semi-transparent orange faceted, faceted cobalt, faceted greasy yellow, and faceted semi-transparent rose. The beadwork shows a triangular stepped design with beaded border at the bottom and fancy beaded edge around the ankle. The set also shows the original ties with beaded ends and original tongue with beaded edge also. The base shows an Indian tanned hide with worn foot area, typical of an early age. Each moccasin measures 10"L soles by 3.5"W by 2.5"H ankle.
