Offered in this lot is a signed original by Cheyenne artist Larry Bixby (1955-2018). This piece shows a warrior on horseback during a winter storm. The light blue and mauve of this painting add to the feel of the cold weather as the warrior and his horse journey home under the winter moon. Not many people understand the reality of the "daytime" winter moon, where the moon rises while it is still "daylight", as seen in this painting. The painting is signed in the lower left corner and bears a hallmark. The painting is in good, unframed condition on a canvas that measures 16" x 20".
