Featured in this lot is this Cheyenne skookum doll pair, circa 1900's. There are two dolls in this collection; the first shows a cotton doll covered with commercial leather, sinew hand sewn, and stuffed and processed with trade seed beads, including colors of chalk white, translucent red, and sky blue. The second doll shows a parfleche wrapped doll frame decorated with horse hair and a fringed cloth garment. The condition of these skookum dolls is good, with the smaller doll showing significant wear to the fabric garment; the larger doll is in great display condition. The measurements of these skookum dolls are 13 1/4" x 7 1/4" and 11" x 7".
