The lot features a unique Cheyenne Native American Indian attributed pipe or tobacco bag with a double tail design. The bag shows an Indian tanned hide construction with trade cotton sewn sides and glass trade seed beads in a pictorial effigy pattern. The bag shows glass trade seed beads in a petit seize in sky padre blue, chalk white, semi-transparent reds, Cheyenne pink, semi-transparent greens, and semi-transparent blues showing the same deisign on both sides; two vertical smoking pipes and stems having four beaded fringe pieces at the top, tow large upside down 'v', tow large 'x', and eight horseshoe upside down 'u' marks. The top edge shows a fancy beaded edge that continues down the left side of both sides of the bag that also frames the edge of each tail at the bottom. The top shows an Indian tanend hide tie and the base shows four thin cut hide fringe pieces each having a fancy beaded pattern. The bag is truly a unique construction and is said to date to circa 1900-1950's showing little wear. The bag measures 4" x 16.5" overall.
