The lot features two early photographs by Benson Denver, Colorado, the albumen photos show what appears to be an early image of Chief Gall and the other of a man in ceremonial dance or wild west show attire. The earlier photo is singed lower right Benson Denver and stamped on the back, “Benson & Benson Enterprises Manhattan Beach Denver, Colorado.” This image shows the Chief Gall figure side profile. The next images hows a man dressed in Native attire with a black felt hat on his head and two long braids in his hair. This is signed Benson Denver 92 or 42. Both appear to be earlier. he condition of this pair of photographs shows some wear and some repairs consistent with age. The measurements of these photographs is 5 5/8" x 4". The collective weight of the photos is U4oz. Please inspect for your own representation of the photos exact age and identification of Gall, while these are early photos, exact age is not identified.
