Featured in this lot is this tacked, light brown Western leather saddle from the 1970-80s. This saddle features a light brown construction with simple, yet elegant tooled designs on the seat back, sides of the seat and on the jockey. The back of the saddle is marked with a "1" and a "54" but cannot be identified as makers marks or hallmarks. Metal tacking can be seen around the edges of the skirt and the fenders. Six sterling conchos cover the saddle, three on each side. Extruding from the center of the conchos are leather strips. The saddle shows good condition overall with slight wear present from its age and use over the years, but no major signs of damage is noted. It measures 20 3/4" L x 12" W x 11 5/8" H and has a 12 1/2" L seat measurement. It has a total weight of 14 pounds.
