This book is a first edition that was published in London and printed by Stewart and Murray, Old Bailey. This book speaks of China and the Chinese, along with their religion, character, customs, and manufactures. Also included in the book are “the evils arising from the opium trade, with a glance at religious, moral, political, and commercial intercourse with the country.” This book is in good condition for its age, but has been rebound at some point.
