For your consideration is this Chinese, hand carved wood water buffalo and man from the 20th century. The water buffalo is a traditional symbol in Chinese culture, often associated with the rural landscape and the simple life of farmers. It can also represent strength, resilience, and tranquility. The man riding the buffalo can symbolize a person's connection to nature, a peaceful existence, or even philosophical concepts like Daoism. This hand carved wood sculpture shows great attention to detail and shows a man riding a Chinese water buffalo. He has his hat hanging on his back and his arms resting on his leg as he rides the water buffalo. It is unmarked showing no makers mark or company mark. It shows good condition overall with little to no wear present and no major signs of damage is noted. It measures 8" L x 3 1/4" W x 7 1/2" H and weighs 1 pound and 6 ounces.
