Featured in this lot we have a Chinese Jianshe Arsenal SKS semi automatic rifle chambered in 7.62 caliber. This rifle was manufactured by Jianshe Arsenal in China in early 1957, and later imported by IO Inc in Palm Bay FL. The rifle features a 20 1/4" round barrel, hard wood stock, semi automatic action, manual lock safety, under barrel bayonet, and adjustable rear sight. The piece shows the attachment points for a under barrel ram rod with the cleaning kit stored in the stock. The left side of the receiver is marked with the serial number and the arsenal marking with a triangle with "26" at the center. The right side of the barrel "IO Inc, Palm Bay, FL M56 7.62X39 China". The rifle shows a canvas on fixed attachment points with the stock stamped with part of the serial number. The rifle mechanically shows working condition and shows its 10 round magazine. The rifle shows good condition overall with some wear due to age and use. The rifle weighs 8lbs 2oz. Serial Number: 233518.
