Featured in this lot is this Chippewa beaded bird skull dancing wand. This dancing wand is a Plains Indians style wand with a bird’s skull head and coyote fur decoration towards the head and at the bottom end of the dancing wand. The dancing wand is profusely decorated with trade seed beads, including colors of chalk white, light blue, and black beads. The dancing wand shows spiraled tassels of black colored hide with glass beads decorating them and an example of baby turtle shell. The top of the wand is decorated with two turkey feathers. The condition of this dancing wand is good, with no obvious signs of damage. This is a contemporary piece made by Jake Runs-Buffalo. The measurements of this dancing wand are 26 1/2" x 5 1/2" x 2 3/4".
