The lot features a beaded hide vest from the Chippewa Native American Indians of the early 1900’s. The vest shows an Indian brain tanned, Rocky Mountain Elk hide construction with small areas of colorful beaded designs on the front and back. The man’s vest has three buttons, two pockets, and two strips of hide back support bands on the back, held together with a single silver concho button. When flat, the vest measures 23 inches long by 18 1/2 inches wide.
