Featured in this lot is this spearhead war club from Chippewa/ Cree artists Leonard and Laurie Many Trails circa 20th Century. Provenance: Made by Chippewa / Cree artists, Leonard & Laurie Many Trails in the 20th century, from the Many Trails Collection at the former Indian Nation Trading Post in Livingston, Montana. The spontoon war club features a wonderfully and professionally crafted carved wooden construction that shows an antler tine at the base with a spear point spontoon head and shows rabbit fur underneath the spear point with a beaded segment with trade seed beads that shows coloration of medium red, grey, and black. There are adornments of turkey feathers with skunk trade beads topping the turkey feathers and shows the haft tacked with brass tacks. The condition of this war club is well preserved with no obvious signs of damage and shows a well preserved overall condition. The measurements of this spearhead war club is 26 1/2" x 6 3/4" x 5".
