Featured in this lot is this Hank Chopwood (1941 - 2005) stone Native American Indian head sculpture. The sculpture shows amazing attention to detail and texturing to the solemn face of a woman staring with piercing eyes and facing the left (from her perspective). The artist’s signature is shown on the front of the sculpture. Native American art is part of the heritage of Phillips County. Hank Chopwood chose to create sandstone sculptures and traded them for goods with local ranchers. The condition of this sandstone sculpture is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this stone sculpture are 10" x 7" x 8 1/2".
