This is an excellent handwoven, flat weave rug by master weaver Jorge Gutierrez. This rug was made using 100% soft, fine, handspun wool yarns in a beautiful Cintas Tetris pattern. The rug was handwoven with a tight weave using 100% handspun wool yarns that offer natural variegation and durability with color fast aniline dyes. The tight, handwoven weave displays natural fleece tones in the fine Cintas Tetris pattern of the time-honored Zapotec, multi-generational craft by a master weaver, Jorge Gutierrez. The rug shows a wonderfully colorful banded design, showing colors of light blue, maroon, carrot orange, grey, and light brown, among others. The rug has multiple stripes of brick mortar and 'H' brace design evenly and symmetrically spaced throughout the rug. This rug also shows tassels on all four sides of the rug. The piece is brand new, in pristine condition, with a tight weave. The rug measures 2’ by 3’ (2 foot by 3 foot). This is a brand new rug.
