This is an impressive full Kentucky Long Rifle musket dating to circa 1840-1850’s from Goulcher with amazing authentic Native American Indian brass tacking adornment. The rifle is marked “GOULCHER” and is a half stock-musket that measures overall 61 inches in length. This is a large, heavy frontier rifle and was attributed to the Shawnee Indians of Kentucky and comes from the Dale Harrison collection from Cincinnati, Ohio. The musket was purchased from the K.R.A. (Kentucky Rifle Association) event many years ago from an antique gun dealer. The rifle appears to be a 40 or 41 caliber and the original push rod is still intact. The entire rifle is adorned with very attractive and artful brass and silver tack designs with pewter lead inlays. There is a brass stock guard and a few wraps of old hardened buckskin in a few places. The action appears to function. There are expected scratched, nicks and dings from honest age and use. Antique firearm does NOT require an FFL or background check.
