Included in this lot we have a Civil War era cavalry officers sword and scabbard. The sword shows good steel construction with brass basket guard. The sword is engraved with "C& J" across the base of the blade. The grip is made up of a wood base with cord and leather wrapped. The scabbard shows white and black painted coloration. The sword and scabbard shows good condition overall with some wear across the piece. The sword measures 41 1/4" long with the blade measuring 35 1/2" long.
