Included in this lot is a Civil War era Cook & Brother's double edge spear point dagger with sheath. Cook and Brother was one of the largest and most successful of the private ordnance factories in the South during the Civil War. It was formed by two British brothers who had moved to New Orleans, Frederick and Francis Cook. This 1860's dagger is complete with leather and silver sheath. The blade measures 7 1/8" and is stamped above the brass guard. The dagger features an engraved sterling ferrule and original 160 year old hand carved ivory grips. The dagger measures 12" long when sheathed.
