Featured in this lot we have a pair of metal water canteens from the Civil War. Both of the canteens shows a steel construction and treated to prevent rust and leaks. The canteens show loops on each side to attach a strap to allow for easier carrying. The pieces are free of marks or manufacturer information. The canteens are in good condition overall with some wear indicative of age. The larger of the canteens measures 12" tall including the wood cork by 9 1/2" wide and 5 1/4" thick.
