For your consideration are these Civil War era U.S. Cavalry stirrups. This is an original pair of Civil War era stirrups used to hold a soldiers feet when mounting, riding and controlling their horse. These well constructed leather clad wooden stirrups are embossed with the army’s “US” identification on the leather. The stirrups show good condition with wear from use and their vintage age, and no signs of obvious damage. The stirrups measure 10" L x 7 1/2" W x 5 1/4" D.
