For your consideration is this fantastic Cochiti Pueblo Native American Indian, polychrome painted wood and rawhide or parfleche ceremonial drum. The drum shows a wood frame with wetted and stretched rawhide on the top and bottom, held together with rawhide lacing. The drum shows mineral pigment paint in colors of red, blue, white, and black. One side of the drum shows a good, taunt hide with a fine drum sound and a nice loss of paint, consistent with age and use. The condition of this Cochiti drum is good, with some wear consistent with age and usage. The drum shows after production contemporary decoration from an owner, but it is in good, overall playable condition. The measurements of this polychrome drum are 4 1/2" x 8 1/4" x 8".
