For your consideration is this collection of Hopi Indian, cottonwood Kachinas, circa 1960's. There are five Kachinas in this collection, with the first showing a Ceremonial Ogre decoration with amazing polychrome painted design. The second shows a similar Ceremonial ogre design with a white side sash. The third is a basic ogre design, showing a red body and a polychrome skirt. The fourth is a Ceremonial Elder Kachina holding up two paddles with a polychrome painted design and a hide skirt. The last shows an Owl Kachina design with a lovely design by Emil Pooley; the artist’s signature is on the feet. The condition of these Kachinas is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of the Kachinas are 13 1/2" x 6 1/2" to 9 1/4" x 4" x 4 1/2".
