Included in this lot we have a collection of powder horns and a horn match case originating from the late 19th century. The collection consists of two powder horns and one match case. The first of the horns shows a carved nozzle at one end and a piece of wood held in by brass tacks blocking the other end. The horn is marked across the surface reading "U.S. Steamer Richmond 1863" with the carved image of a eagle holding a US flag and an anchor. The second piece shows a hollowed horn tip with a wood stopper and a wood backing. The piece features 8 figures carved into the piece with a house at the center. The horn match case shows a wood top and bottom connected with a leather strap and a spring. The out side of the case is marked "Fire is Near" with carvings of the moon and markings across the top and bottom. The collection is in good condition overall with the steamer horn showing a hole in the side. The collection measure 10 1/4" long with a diameter of 2", 10 1/4" long by 3" wide, and 4 1/4" tall with a diameter of 2 1/2".
