For your consideration is this collection of various community service badges, circa 20th century. There are seven badges total in this collection. The first is the smallest and is a Chicago Motor Club School Safety Patrol badge. The second is a Colorado Chauffeur badge with badge # 54 30, circa 1940. The third badge is a Salvation Army Badge constructed from tin, showing the crest and motto in the bottom right hand corner. The fourth badge is a New Mexico Military Institute hat badge constructed from brass and hallmarked on the back: N.S. Meyer Inc. The next badge is a City of Gary General Services badge in the shape of a five point star with “Sanitarian” read across the center. The second to last badge is a Fleet Carrier Pontiac, Michigan badge with a shipping truck centered on the badge and 'Roy' inscribed on the bottom. The last badge is a Shoreline Public School Safety Patrol badge and shows a shield with the inscription and an eagle perched on top. The condition of these badges is good overall, with the backing and the face of the Salvation Army badge in fair display condition; the others show exceptional display condition, showing no obvious signs of damage.
