The ring is also set with 54 round brilliant cut diamonds having a weight of 0.43 carats, SI1-I1 clarity and G-H color. Alexandrite was discovered in the 1830’s near the Tokovaya River in the Ural Mountains in Siberian Russia and later became the national gemstone of Russia being given the name “Alexandrite” in 1842 named after Tsar Alexander II.
